Devastating footage shows the moment the rapper was shot in the chest in Amazing Phramacy on E. Tremont Ave. He was rushed to the nearest hospital where he tragically died from the wounds.

According to The New York Post, the suspects grabbed his chain and money before fleeing the scene. At the time of writing, no arrests have been made.

WHO WAS MONEY GANG VONTAE?

Avanti Frowner, 27, was a drill rapper from Chicago who lived in Los Angeles.

Better known by his stage name Money Gang Vontae, a press release from Renegade Promotions in 2020 describes him as a “lyrical artist that raps and speaks about things he has really been through”.

He reportedly started making music in high school and was inspired by his older brother and cousin to turn his passion into a career.

The rapper released his debut album Game Changer in April 2021 and has a number of other singles, Go Hard, 5G and Ran With It featuring JGotti.

With 25,000 followers on Instagram, he was up-and-coming in the LA rap scene and gained success with his mixtape Money Gang Talk Sh*t.

The 27-year-old was in New York this week for a show when he was tragically killed.
