Sabina Nessa Murder: Koci Selamaj Jailed For Minimum Of 36 Years

Mr. Justice Sweeney, who sentenced the 36-year-old Selamaj, said Nessa was the “wholly blameless victim of an absolutely horrific crime that was solely the defendant’s fault.” It was added that the teacher’s death deepened “the feeling of insecurity” felt by women walking around the city late at night. She had every right, as her family indicated, to be glammed up and out walking through the park after a long week at work,” Sweeney said. The defendant took her life and those of her family. The judge stated that the man did not show any remorse for what he did to the innocent teacher.

For the murder of Sabina Nessa, a primary school teacher, Koci Selamaj was sentenced to life in prison at the Old Bailey, with a minimum sentence of 36 years. Ms. Nessa appeared “oblivious” as he ran up behind her on 17 September last year and beat her 34 times over the head with a metal traffic triangle, according to his sentencing. The evil garage worker was told by the judge that he will have to serve at least 36 years in prison.
